As you will be aware Storm Ophelia has passed across Northern Ireland through yesterday afternoon and into the night. This has been a powerful storm which will have impacted homes and businesses throughout the country, affecting power and telecoms networks, and also our transport network.
Whilst we are not fully aware of the impact we felt it important to let you know that we’ve put measures in place for increased resource within Rainbow to deal with issues arising from the storm with our Customer Service and Engineering departments working extended hours and being supported by our Administration Teams.
We must also stress that due to the potential wide spectrum of issues which may arise we will have to prioritise problems reported to us which may mean that we can’t immediately deal with your issue but we are committed to assisting you as quickly and effectively as possible.
We have been advised by Openreach locally that additional resource will also be available but, again, until the full extent of damage is evident, they are unable to commit to standard service levels which may mean Openreach Network repairs will take longer to fix.
